Proofreading is usually the final step in the editing process, but for some projects, it's the first and only step. 

As Wendy Horger Alsup was preparing to publish her third book, she needed a fresh set of eyes to give the manuscript a final read-through. I was excited about this opportunity not only because proofreading is my favorite part of editing, but because of the subject matter. The Gospel Centered Woman is a very timely book. "Biblical Womanhood" has always been a hot topic in Evangelical Christianity, and Wendy covers the debate using Scripture as a whole, from the Garden, to the Proverbs 31 Woman, and to the writings of the Apostle Paul. She stresses that the true calling and role of women isn't to be perfect wives or mothers, but to be people focused on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
