Several months ago I had the honor of edting a book for first-time author, Nadia Riell. Inspring Childhood, Inspiring Life: Perspectives on Love, Encouragement and Reaching Potential is a great, quick read for parents, teachers, grandparents or anyone who loves and interacts with children. This collection of short, thought provoking essays is perfect for starting important conversations with kids. The book can be read as a whole or as individual essays on topics such as self-esteem, independence, and standing up for what you believe in. Special attention is given to making sure caregivers communicate to children that they are truly loved and cherished and that they can work toward their goals and be supported by family and friends.
As a parent myself, I was encouraged to always strive for better communication with my children and to make sure they know just how much they are loved every day.
Nadia's book is available for Kindle on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Inspiring-Childhood-Life-ebook/dp/B006T0ZN70/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1330287066&sr=8-2
